Nutella mini croissants

Hi everyone,

Mini Nutella filled croissants (serves 4 to 6)

What you will need:

  • -       baking paper
  • -       1 sheet of puff pastry
  • -       Nutella
  • -       Some flour
  • -       Egg wash (optional): 1 egg + 1tbsp of water or milk

Step 1: Line your backing tray with a sheet of baking paper and pre-heat the oven to 200° (fan oven) or gas mark 7.

Step 2: Spread some flour on a chopping board or directly onto your kitchen counter, then lay out the sheet of puff pastry. Use a rolling pin or your hands to roll the pastry out into a large square, cut it so you have equal squares and then cut those into halves, into triangles.

Step 3: Put a small amount of Nutella in the middle of each triangle, and then take the two bottom edges of the triangle and roll them towards the top continue until it looks like a croissant.

Step 4: You can also make some egg wash, by mixing an egg and some water, then spreading some on each croissants.

Step 5: Place in the oven for 10 minutes, once they are ready take them out the oven and let them rest for a couple minutes.

Alternatively, you could fill these with caramel, chocolate, marshmallows, cheese and ham. You could also make them into any shape you wanted. These are perfect for sharing with friends and family as a sweet treat, you could even do them for breakfast. These are best eaten hot but can also been eaten cold.
