Recipe for Crêpes (for 4-6 people)
What you will need:
- - 4 eggs
- - 400g of flour
- - a litre of milk
- - pinch of salt
- - oil
- - a crêpe pan or normal pan
- - a large bowl
- - a whisk
- - a ladle
- - a spatula
Step 1: Pour the flour in a bowl, make a
hole in the middle of the flour (into a well shape), crack all four eggs into
the middle of the hole, then mix it together gently.
Step 2: When your mixture has a dough-like
consistency, add a pinch of salt.
Step 3: Add the one litre of milk little by
little, mixing it as you go with a whisk. When you are using the whisk, make sure
there are no bubbles of air left in the mixture. At the end of this process,
you should have a smooth and liquid mixture without any air bubbles.
Step 4: Add a tablespoon of oil. Get a
ladle and fill it with the crêpe mixture to pour it into the pan, and spread it
with the ladle in the pan so it covers the entire surface of the crêpe pan, you
can move the pan in order to spread the liquid on its surface.
Step 5: Place the pan on the hob, for approximately
2 minutes until you can lift the crepe with the spatula, start by lifting the
edges and then flip it over. You can also flip it over using just the pan. The
crêpe should look slightly brown and golden and be slightly crispy around the
edges.
Crepes are best eaten hot, but can also be
eaten cold. You can make savoury crêpes filling them with cheese, ham, egg,
chorizo, etc. Or you can have sweet crêpes, with Nutella, caramel, whipped
cream, sugar, jam.
Enjoy, bon appétit!
